New for 2024

Technology to Make Harvesting Easier

Building on the legendary Axial-Flow combine legacy, the new Axial-Flow 160 series combines feature technology that will make you more productive, more efficient, and simply make the job of harvesting easier.

Harvest Command™ automation optimizes your combine settings, removing the stress of ensuring all your crop makes it out of the field. Sensors throughout the combine monitor every aspect of the harvesting process, and automatically adjust working conditions to maximize productivity. Each automation mode prioritizes different harvesting outcomes — from grain quality to grain savings to throughput. Choose the mode of automation to match your harvesting goals. Then set the crop type, maximum operating speed and power limits and Harvest Command takes over from there.

Powering Axial-Flow 160 Series combines is a Stage V engine that incorporates catalystic management to remove soot, DEF and sulfur oxide deposits present in the exhaust system.

Harvest Command

Find Your Perfect Flow with Harvest Command

Harvest Command™ is always working for you. Each automation mode prioritizes different harvesting outcomes — from grain quality to grain savings to throughput. You choose the mode of automation to match your harvesting goals. Set the crop type, maximum operating speed and power limits and Harvest Command handles the rest.

Choose from Four Modes of Automation to Fit Your Operation

  • Performance: Maximize grain savings and grain quality while optimizing throughput.
  • Grain quality: Maximize grain quality while saving grain and optimizing throughput.
  • Max throughput: The operator can maximize throughput while automation adjusts combine settings to save grain. •
  • Fixed throughput: The operator can fix the machine throughput and the machine will adjust to save grain and maintain a quality sample.

Residue Management

Maintain Easy, Effective Control

The Case IH residue management system is built to handle the tough residue associated with new crop genetics. This system delivers consistency across the larger header widths used on the Axial-Flow 160 series combines; helps prepare the ground for next year’s crop; and creates consistent windrow formations and long straw for baling. From tillage to livestock demands, we offer the widest range of residue management features on the market.

The rotor discharge deflectors deflect residue to a central feeding point towards the chopper. The chopper blades are mounted in a chevron pattern for better chop quality, the windrow chute features two residue modes and the hydraulically driven spreader is adjustable from the cab.

Feeding System

Increase Functional Performance

Get the job done right with high-capacity features and heavy-duty rotary feeding systems. The feeding system is designed to enhance crop flow and improve feeding into the combine, resulting in smooth crop flow and reduced wear.  The advanced feeder house and feeder gearbox design allows material to move faster and more consistently into the combine. Case IH’s improved and expanded header lineup provides the latest in harvesting technology

Transmission

Two-speed Electric Shift Transmission Provides Seamless Control

Whether you want simplicity and convenience or superior control, Case IH Axial-Flow combines are available with the single rotor technology that is right for you. Our 150 series delivers proven technology through a simple, efficient and reliable belt-driven rotor design.

  • Electric shift transmission - High and low-speed ranges allow you to take on different field conditions without needing to shift. Easier shifting combined with improved traction maximizes your harvest window and field productivity.
  • Pump Drive/Separator Drives - Our improved PTO gear case design ensures pumps and drives are operating efficiently at a lower 2,100 rpm, which maximizes fuel savings and decreases engine wear.

Threshing & Separating

Control Your Harvest

We pioneered single rotor development back in the 1960s. Since then, refinements, enhancements and improvements have led to the pinnacle in rotor performance — the AFX rotor. The AFX rotor can be set into many configurations, adapting to both crop and threshing conditions.

Cleaning System

Handle Greater Capacity on Uneven Terrain and Varying Conditions

High-capacity combines need large high-capacity cleaning systems. Axial-Flow combines match cleaning system capacity to the size of the machine, providing superior productivity, grain sample quality and savings. The Cross Flow cleaning fan uses its patented design to deliver consistently clean grain samples no matter the harvest condition.

  • Auger Bed - The six-auger system helps deliver up to 5,000 bushels per hour. The left-hand auger rotates in the opposite direction of the other augers to provide even filling of the cleaning area.
  • Cross Flow Fan - Creates a vortex which super charges the air flow, giving a full-balanced flow across the entire sieve. The air enters the full width of the fan from the top, resulting in superior air flow.
  • Cross Flow Cleaning System - In-cab sensor automatically detects uneven ground and the cleaning system oscillates front to back and side to side, creating an elliptical motion to evenly disperse the crop on the upper sieve. This maximizes cleaning capacity and increases productivity up to 20 percent.
  • Tailings Design - Repositioned tailings elevator allows greater access to the right side of the combine for easier service and maintenance

Grain Handling

Reduce Your Unload Time

Large grain tanks, longer augers and quick-folding tool-free grain tank extensions are standard on all Axial-Flow combine models — resulting in more efficient field operation.

High-capacity grain handling features include a larger clean-grain elevator designed to match greater throughput and capacity – up to 5,000 bushels an hour, a grain tank with up to a 350-bushel capacity, high unload rates, optional pivoting spout and choice of unload auger options.

Operator Environment

Unmatched Comfort, Visibility and Control

With one of the largest and quietest cabs among the foremost combine manufacturers, the Axial-Flow cab gives you industry-leading glass and unsurpassed sight lines so you can keep an eye on the entire header. With its ergonomic and intuitive design, you get maximized comfort and productivity.

  • The cab acts as a mobile office with USB ports, separate power outlet,  cell phone holder, and AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth® weather band radio
  • Have control at your fingertips with the multifunction handle and the Pro 700 Display with most of your controls on the right hand console
  • Enjoy better visibility with standard halogen stadium lighting and optional upgraded light packages
  • Seating includes either cloth or optional high-backed leather seats and an instructional seat backrest that folds down into a work surface.
  • A portable electric refrigerator to keep food and drinks cool from home to field
  • Plus, even more deluxe and luxury options for cab trim, shades, and storage
